No Casualties at Iraq’s K1 Base after Rocket Attack: Army

The Iraqi army has confirmed a rocket attack on the K1 military base in the province of Kirkuk has caused no casualties.

The attack occurred Thursday evening at 20:14 (local time), soon after which security forces searched the vicinity of the base where they found a rocket launcher.

The base is home to the US and other Global Coalition troops who allegedly help the Iraqi forces in their battle against the Islamic State (IS).

A spokesperson for the Coalition also shared the statement by the Iraqi army to confirm that no casualties or material damages were caused by the rocket attack.
