Iraqi joint forces begins a military operation in ​​Anbar

Iraqi Popular Mobilization Forces (PMF) announced, Thursday, that “a large force of Imam Ali (as) Combat Division, 2nd Brigade – Hashed Al-Sha’abi, carried out a large-scale joint military operation in the Al-Fayadh, in Baghdad belt, and the Anbar desert.”

A statement to the PMF media, obtained by the “Al-Ghadeer” website, stated that “the military operation was launched Thursday morning, with the participation of the special forces, intelligence, and engineering efforts in Imam Ali (as) Combat Team.”

He added, “The operation carried out in cooperation with forces from the (41) Brigade (Division 10) Iraqi Army, the Operations and Intelligence Command brigade, and the security agencies, with the support of Iraqi army aircraft to transport trained forces from the commando units.”

He refers that “the forces began a hunt for the remnants of ISIS in the depth of the Anbar desert within the sector of responsibility to search for the wanted, stressing that the process of achieving its goals set before the return of all forces to the point of departure safely.”
