Palestinians report several killed in Israeli air raids on Gaza

The Palestinian health ministry says nine killed in air raids in northern Gaza after Hamas launched rockets at Jerusalem.

Israeli forces stormed the Al-Aqsa Mosque compound on Monday morning, firing rubber-coated bullets, tear gas, and sound bombs at Palestinian worshippers, wounding hundreds.

The latest violence came as occupied East Jerusalem braced for a planned Jewish nationalist march through the city later on Monday. But the annual Jerusalem Day Flag March which, marks the day East Jerusalem was illegally occupied in 1967, was canceled by organizers after Israeli authorities re-routed it away from the Old City’s Damascus Gate.
