The Iraqi Federal Intelligence and Investigation Agency announced on Thursday (January 20) the arrest of a suspect who had a hand in a major terror attack in Baghdad in 2016 as well as numerous other terrorist operations in the Iraqi capital.

A statement from the agency, cited by Iraqi News Agency, which referred to the suspect as a member of the Islamic State (ISIS) terrorist group, said he confessed to transporting suicide bombers in 2016 who were active in attacks in the neighborhoods of Kadhimiya and al-Hurriya in Baghdad, as well as an attack on a gas plant in Taji, north of the Iraqi capital.
