A force of the Popular Mobilization Forces (PMF – Al-Hashed Al-Sha’abi) had carried out a storming operation targeting various areas of Hit district, one of the results of which was the destruction of a secret underground tunnel, a security source said on Friday.
The source said to “Al-Ghadeer” website: “The tunnel is used as a hideout for the purpose of concealing ISIS elements and as a starting point for attacking the military units stationed in the western regions.”
He pointed out that “the operation to destroy the tunnel came according to intelligence information that enabled the destruction of the target without recording any casualties among the security forces and civilians.”
