Today, Monday, the office of the Prime Minister, Muhammad Shia Al-Sudani, published the details of his round of talks with Jordan’s King Abdullah II bin Al-Hussein.

The office said in a statement followed by (Al-Ghadeer) that “Prime Minister Muhammad Shia Al-Sudani met today, the King of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, King Abdullah II bin Al-Hussein, during his official visit to the capital, Amman, which he arrived earlier today,” noting that “there were During the meeting, which was attended by the Crown Prince of the Kingdom, Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah II, they discussed bilateral relations between the two countries, stressing the need to continue coordination and consultation between Iraq and Jordan on various issues of common interest, in a manner that achieves their interests and serves Arab issues.

He added that “the two sides discussed the latest regional developments, especially the Palestinian issue, the crises in the region, and the efforts made in the war on terrorism and confronting extremism, within a comprehensive approach based on cooperation and high coordination between the two countries,” noting that “expanded bilateral discussions were held between the President of the Council of Ministers. The ministers and the Jordanian monarch, at Basman Al-Zaher Palace, discussed a number of common files and ways to enhance mutual cooperation in accordance with the agreements and memoranda of understanding signed between the two countries.

He continued, “The round of talks was attended by Foreign Minister Fouad Hussein, Director of the Prime Minister’s Office Ihsan Al-Awadi, and Anbar Governor Ali Farhan, while on the Jordanian side, Prime Minister Bishr Al-Khasawneh, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Affairs Ayman Al-Safadi, and Director of the Jordanian King’s Office Jaafar Hassan attended. “.

Al-Sudani affirmed, “Iraq’s keenness to maintain the distinguished relationship with Jordan,” stressing “the continuation of cooperation between the two countries in various fields for the benefit of the two brotherly peoples, and in a manner that is reflected on the security, stability and prosperity of the region.”
