Iraqi port resumes work after the demonstrator’s withdrawal

The General Company for Ports of Iraq announced on Sunday its thanks and appreciation to the demonstrators in Khor Al-Zubair area for their high sense of responsibility towards the flow of national demonstrations.

The company explained in a statement received by Shafaq News that “the demonstration and demanding rights are legitimate and a demand for all the people on condition that it doesn’t the necessary actions and the basic needs of citizens.”

The statement added that “work in Khor Al-Zubair port is going at a good pace because of the awareness of the people of the region on the importance of the work of ports, as operations are continuing with the port that received five giant commercial ships and the work of loading and unloading is very smooth.”
