Prime Minister, Al-Sudani, receives the American Ambassador to Iraq

Iraqi Prime Minister, Mr. Muhammad Shia’a Al-Sudani, on Sunday, received the US Ambassador, Ms. Alina Romanowski.

During the meeting, they discussed the reality of Iraqi-American relations and ways to develop them and strengthen the existing partnership between the two countries at various levels and fields.

They also discussed sustaining the momentum of the war on terrorism and its remnants, and bilateral cooperation in this field, within the framework of providing advice and training from the American side to the Iraqi armed forces.

For her part, the US ambassador expressed the US administration’s aspiration for more exchange and close coordination between the two countries. She also appreciated the efforts of the Iraqi government and security authorities in pursuing the perpetrators of the murder of US citizen Stephen Troll, and the rapid move on this track.
