Unidentified gunmen assassinated, on Monday morning, the order of the 9th Brigade in the Popular Mobilization Forces, Abu Sadiq al-Khashkhashi, while he was on his way from his home to work.
A source in the Babylon Police said, “The gunmen opened fire at Al-Khashkhashi’s car, causing the driver to lose control of it and overturn, and this led to the injury of the driver and the death of Al- Khashkhashi and one of his bodyguards .”
He added that the police transferred the two bodies to the forensic medicine office, and the wounded man to al-Hilla Surgical Hospital, and that an investigation had been opened into the incident.
