Al-Amiri stresses the need for foreign forces to leave at the end of this year

The leader of the Al-Fateh Alliance, the Secretary-General of the Badr Organization, Mr. Hadi Al-Amiri stressed on Tuesday the need for foreign forces to leave Iraqi land on December 31, 2021.

On the occasion of the approaching deadline for the withdrawal of foreign forces at the end of this year, Al-Amiri stressed: “the necessity of the withdrawal of foreign combat forces (of all kinds) from Iraq by December 31, 2021, as we do not accept any combat presence under any name or pretext.”

He added, “All bases or wings of Iraqi bases occupied by foreign forces after 12/31/2021 must be handed over to the Iraqi army or security services, especially the Harir and Ain al-Assad bases.”

The leader of the Al-Fateh Alliance continued, “any need for the presence of advisors, trainers, or technicians, the need must be accurately estimated by the senior military leaders ((numbers, specialties, and place of need for each type)) with a clear explanation of the reasons, provided that this is in accordance with a written agreement between Iraqi and US government and in accordance with Iraqi laws in force.”

Pointing to the entry and exit of all advisors, technicians, and trainers in accordance with the laws that guarantee respect for the country’s sovereignty and achieving full authority over Iraqi airspace.
